At HomeFix Cost Guide, we respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. This DMCA Policy outlines the steps we take to address claims of copyright infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
If you believe that content on HomeFix Cost Guide infringes your copyright, you may submit a written notification that includes the following elements:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or an authorized representative.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and where it is located on the site.
- Contact information of the complaining party, such as an address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate and that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
Once a valid DMCA notice is received, HomeFix Cost Guide will promptly review the claim and take appropriate action, including removing or disabling access to the allegedly infringing content. We may also notify the individual responsible for posting the content so they can submit a counter-notice if they believe the removal was made in error.
Counter-notices must meet the requirements set forth by the DMCA and include a statement under penalty of perjury that the material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification. Upon receipt of a proper counter-notice, the removed content may be restored after a designated waiting period, unless the original complainant files a lawsuit seeking a court order to restrain the infringing activity.
